In 1995, God revealed to the Cabrizos family the verse Proverbs 22:6 “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” They then felt the need to put up a school to cater the needs of young people in terms of education. CANDOR or Christian Academy in Davao Oriental Incorporated was born with the purpose of providing a quality of education in a Christian context.

It started with the secondary level at the former Mati Baptist Hospital. Classes were done in the evening to cater the out of school youth and those working during the daytime. This was followed with the technical vocational programs that CANDOR offered with permission from the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA). It has Two-Year Computer Technology, Two-Year Computer Secretarial, Two-Year Automotive Technology, Two-Year General radio Communication Operator, Six Months Driving, and Three months Consumer Electronics. CANDOR continued to provide quality education in a Christian context and kept on soaring high to fulfill the vision. The year 2009 marked the most exciting and the school was so blessed to open the elementary level as well as the higher degree in tertiary level for the program in Bachelor of Science in Information Technology.

At the present, CANDOR becomes CANDOR technological Colleges Incorporated with its new name comes new challenges but amidst that has been proven tested and strengthened through time.
